Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)
- Rotating weekends (5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week cycle)
- Holiday rotation (rotation includes at least one major holiday)
- No on-call required
In this role, youll work primarily within high-acuity MedSurg/Telemetry units (20-36 beds/unit), benefitting from a robust support team including CNAs, resource nurses, 24/7 RT, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage. RNs are integral to collaborating across interdisciplinary teams, floating as needed among Med/Tele units, and managing a wide range of acute and chronic patient casesfrom cardiac and post-surgical patients to those with diverse medical complexities.
What Youll Bring:
- Minimum 2 years recent MedSurg/Tele RN experience (first-time travelers encouraged to apply)
- Active RN license
- BLS required; ACLS preferred (must pass EKG competency on onboarding)
- Proficiency with telemetry (monitoring/interpreting rhythms, post-cath care)
- Must manage/trach care, chest tubes, IV start/maintenance, insulin/heparin/Cardizem/amiodarone/milrinone/Digoxin/nicardipine drips, strong assessment/time management skills
- Comfort with discharge planning, interdisciplinary coordination, and patient education
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to med/surg, telemetry, cardiac, and post-surgical populations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management
- Float between Med/Tele units as needed to support census and acuity
- Initiate patient and family education, and assist with discharge planning
