As a traveling Telemetry RN, youll not only assist diverse patient populations but also collaborate with varied healthcare teams who offer different leadership styles and innovative hospital practices. This role is a fantastic way to broaden your experience, develop new clinical skills, and strengthen your resume with exposure to advanced monitoring, dynamic workflows, and Altera Sunrise EMR (no prior experience required). The comprehensive orientation ensures a seamless transition and strong start.
Position Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 18:4507:15
- Weekend coverage: Every other weekend
- Holiday shifts: Required unless pre-approved
- Floating: Required within the facility
- Orientation: Multi-day, including clinical and computer training
- Start Dates: 4/27 or 5/11
Desired Qualifications:
- Active RN license (MO or compact)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- BSN preferred
- Nicotine-free required
- Must not be a new graduate
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and care for patients in the Telemetry Unit
- Respond promptly to cardiac alarms and assess patients accordingly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
- Document accurately in the Altera Sunrise EMR system
- Adapt to floating and support various hospital units as needed
