Job Description
Deliver expert nursing care in an acute care setting specializing in geriatric and inpatient rehabilitation patients within a supportive, team-oriented environment. This contract opportunity offers a rewarding role with variable shifts, primarily consisting of three 12-hour shifts per schedule cycle, designed to provide both work-life balance and clinical challenge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for swing bed patients in a 24-bed acute care unit.
- Utilize advanced wound care skills and perform minor procedures as needed.
- Engage with an affluent patient population, delivering concierge-level service aligned with patient experience expectations.
- Adhere to documentation protocols using the Cerner system.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team committed to maintaining exceptional standards despite minimal support staff (no additional HUC or tech coverage during some shifts).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RN licensure with experience in geriatric care or inpatient rehabilitation.
- Proficiency in wound care and minor clinical procedures.
- Certification in BLS required; ACLS and CPI preferred.
- Comfortable working in an environment that requires adherence to a strict dress code (navy or navy tops with white bottoms).
- Ability to adapt to a unit with standard medical/surgical equipment and limited staff support.
