This contract role in a 24-bed acute care unit provides valuable exposure to a variety of patient needs, with a particular emphasis on geriatric and swing bed populations in a collaboration-driven culture.

Schedule/Hours

• Variable shifts available
• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week

Qualifications

• Current RN license with experience in acute care/telemetry nursing
• Background in caring for geriatric patients or prior inpatient rehab (swing bed) experience required
• Advanced wound care proficiency
• BLS certification required; ACLS and CPI preferred
• Able to work efficiently with minimal ancillary staff (no HUC or permanent tech support)
• Comfortable utilizing Cerner documentation system
• High attention to detail and commitment to exceptional patient experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a 6-7:1 ratio environment, focusing on safety and exemplary customer service
• Perform minor wound care and other procedures as needed within the acute care unit's scope
• Adapt to occasional floating, adhering to hospital policies and maintaining continuity of care
• Communicate and collaborate with a strong, experienced healthcare team renowned for its positive culture and mutual support
• Maintain high professional standards, including adherence to the navy or navy/white dress code
