As a critical member of the Med Surg Float Pool, youll gain experience in various Med Surg Tele units, enhancing your adaptability and clinical skill set. Exposure to multiple teams and leadership styles will enrich your practice and broaden your resume, opening doors to future opportunities.
Schedule:
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (12 hours)
- 36 hours per week
- Includes 1 weekend shift per week, or 2 every other weekend
- Must work at least 1 holiday during the contract
- 16-week assignment
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute Med Surg/Tele experience
- For non-U.S. candidates, 2 years of U.S. work experience required
- Preferred: 2 years recent experience in acute Med Surg/Tele
- Active NY RN license and AHA BLS certification required
- EPIC charting proficiency preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from Fairport
- Flexibility to float between Med Surg Tele units and adjust to schedule needs
Position Duties:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to diverse Med Surg/Tele patient populations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal care
- Accurately document patient updates in EPIC
- Float between units as needed, supporting evolving hospital needs
- Actively participate in patient and family education
