Job Description

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current, active RN license in good standing
  • At least one year of recent telemetry nursing experience
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and prior experience supervising or mentoring nursing staff preferred
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and direct the work of others effectively in a fast-paced environment

Schedule:

  • Contract position with variable shift options as needed to meet patient care demands

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care to a designated group of telemetry patients according to established nursing standards and the nursing process
  • Closely monitor patients cardiac status and promptly respond to changes in condition
  • Supervise and direct various levels of assigned nursing and support staff
  • Coordinate patient care with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure consistency and quality
  • Document all nursing actions, observations, and patient responses accurately and promptly
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatments
