As a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry, youll provide coordinated nursing care to patients with cardiac or acute medical needs. Responsibilities include overseeing care for a designated patient group, monitoring telemetry equipment, and promptly responding to changes in cardiac rhythm or patient condition. Youll supervise and guide a team of nursing staff, supporting their practice and maintaining high standards of care throughout every shift. Professional communication and sound clinical judgment will be vital as you coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other medical professionals to deliver holistic patient care.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Current RN license in good standing
- Minimum of one year experience in Telemetry/step-down or similar acute care setting
- Strong competency with telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Solid assessment, documentation, and critical thinking abilities
- Skilled in patient education and engaging families as partners in care
- Ability to provide clinical supervision to LPNs, CNAs, and nursing support staff
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care aligned with established practice standards
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and promptly intervene for abnormalities
- Lead and mentor assigned nursing staff in daily patient care activities
