This Full-Time travel assignment offers a unique chance to enhance your professional skills in a respected cardiac and telemetry care setting (not a stepdown unit). You'll work alongside experienced professionals, gaining valuable exposure to different clinical philosophies and innovative leadership approaches that will strengthen your resume and broaden your perspective.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night Shift: 7PM 7AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call duty
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation) for a diverse cardiac and telemetry patient population.
- Administer medications, monitor their effects, and perform treatments per protocol.
- Document patient histories, symptoms, interventions, and outcomes thoroughly.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers to ensure understanding and engagement in care plans.
- Work independently, manage contingencies, and delegate care appropriately to maintain optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in onboarding, orientation, competency validation, and continuous education programs.
Qualifications:
- State RN licensure or compact RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- At least one year of experience in cardiac, telemetry, or a related specialty preferred
