Job Description

Schedule:

  • 7AM 7PM, Day Shift
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call shifts

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of employment or compact state
  • American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
  • American Heart Association ACLS certification (required)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • At least one year of nursing experience in a cardiac or telemetry unit preferred
  • Ability to manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 or 6:1
  • Strong clinical skills and the capacity to make independent decisions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide thorough nursing assessments, diagnoses, care plans, interventions, and evaluations for a diversity of cardiac and telemetry patients
  • Administer treatments and medications per protocol, monitoring for side effects and therapeutic response
  • Complete meticulous documentation of patient care, medication administration, and observed symptoms
  • Attend focused new nurses orientation and complete hospital-driven training and competency validations
  • Educate patients and families, customizing information to their needs and understanding
  • Collaborate proactively with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
  • Support quality initiatives and adhere to facility standards and the nursing scope of practice
