A Registered Nurse with Telemetry experience is needed to provide expert care for cardiac and telemetry patients on a night shift schedule in Deville, LA. This full-time, contract opportunity offers involvement with complex clinical nursing in a supportive environment that values independence and professional growth. Temporary to permanent placement may be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Manage complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocols; monitor effectiveness and side effects.
- Accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Provide patient and family education tailored to individual learning needs.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and coordinate patient care within the team.
- Maintain compliance with all nursing competencies and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active RN License in the state of employment or through compact licensing.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years nursing experience, with at least 6 months in telemetry.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound clinical judgment.
- Successful completion of orientation and competency validations as required.
Schedule:
- Nights, 7 PM to 7 AM.
- Every other weekend required.
- No on-call duties.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio approximately 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing.
