As a registered nurse on the Telemetry unit, youll work alongside a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to patient-centered care and continuous improvement. This position requires expertise in monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms while delivering high-quality nursing interventions for adult patients with complex medical needs.
Schedule/Hours:
- Every other weekend (EOW)
- Every other holiday (EOH)
Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of one year recent experience in Telemetry or a similar acute care setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Proficiency in working with cardiac monitoring equipment and electronic health records
- Compassionate approach to patient care with an ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips, recognizing abnormalities and responding promptly to changes in patient condition
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and administer medications accurately
- Document care, interventions, and patient responses using electronic health records
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers regarding care plans and clinical updates
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the treatment process
- Uphold best practices in infection control and patient safety in accordance with facility policies
