Working in a reputable 29-bed Medical/Telemetry unit, you'll collaborate with a dedicated night team of 5 RNs and 3 Patient Care Techs, using the latest technology such as Meditech EMR, PCA, and IV pumps. This travel assignment provides invaluable exposure to a mix of clinical practices, seasoned staff, and a focus on collaborative, patient-centered care amid a supportive atmosphere.
Beyond expanding your clinical expertisecentral line management, medication drips, and moreyoull have the chance to contribute fresh insights and benefit from the best-practice approaches of an experienced nursing staff. Your downtime is equally rewarding, as Derby and nearby Wichita offer everything from nature trails and historic landmarks to vibrant dining and arts scenes.
Schedule:
- 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (night shift)
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care hospital Telemetry RN experience
- Valid RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification and Meditech experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking, independence, and a positive, engaged demeanor
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, patient-focused care in a telemetry setting
- Effectively manage central lines and administer medication drips
- Communicate efficiently with interdisciplinary teams
- Document accurately using Meditech EMR
- Maintain attention to detail in high-acuity environments
