An exciting opportunity awaits experienced Registered Nurses with a strong background in Telemetry for a contract assignment on a dynamic intermediate care nursing unit. This role places you in a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional care to diverse patient populations, with a dedicated team and access to up-to-date equipment.

Schedule:

• 7:00 AM 7:00 PM

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
• Recent experience in a Telemetry or Intermediate Care setting
• Experience working with PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes strongly preferred
• Strong critical thinking abilities and independence in clinical practice
• Positive, adaptable attitude with excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a 37-bed telemetry unit, collaborating with a team that includes RNs, patient care techs, and unit clerks
• Monitor, assess, and document patient condition, particularly post-heart catheterization and during recovery procedures (including bubble studies and central lines)
• Manage medication drips safely and efficiently, with adherence to patient ratios (1:6; 1:4 for Heart Cath patients)
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate record keeping
• Support and educate patients and families, fostering a positive and comfortable experience
