Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients on telemetry floors, notifying doctors and interdisciplinary staff of any significant changes
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies while following established protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to ensure continuity of care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within electronic medical records
• Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families regarding care plans and procedures
• Maintain vigilance in infection control practices and uphold the highest standards of patient safety

Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license in good standing
• Previous nursing experience in a telemetry or cardiac monitoring unit strongly preferred
• Proficient interpretation of EKG and rhythm strips
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
