Job Description

Deliver high-quality patient care in a 24-bed acute care unit known for its strong culture of collaboration and exceptional patient experience. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a supportive environment serving an affluent community where concierge-level service is the standard.

Schedule:

  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
  • Variable shifts

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and CPI preferred
  • Recent experience with geriatric care or inpatient rehabilitation, especially swing bed patients
  • Advanced wound care skills
  • Proficient in Med/Surg equipment and Cerner documentation
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional service
  • Professional appearance: navy uniform or navy top with white bottoms required

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for a diverse caseload, with patient ratios of 6-7:1
  • Utilize advanced clinical skills to manage wound care and minor procedures
  • Deliver patient-centered care to meet the high expectations of the community
  • Collaborate with an experienced, cohesive nursing team to ensure quality outcomes
  • Adapt to variable staffing levels, as this unit does not include HUCs and only has additional tech or RN support when tech is unavailable
  • Accurately chart in Cerner and follow established unit policies and guidelines
  • Float to other units is rare but possible, flexibility appreciated
  • Uphold the strong reputation of the unit for excellent teamwork and a positive culture
