Job Description
Provide skilled nursing care in an acute care setting specializing in geriatric and inpatient rehabilitation patients, including those in a swing bed program. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work within a dedicated team in a 24-bed unit focused on delivering concierge-level patient experience to an affluent community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care addressing the unique needs of geriatric and rehabilitation patients.
- Perform minor procedures and advanced wound care interventions using standard medical-surgical equipment.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation through the Cerner system.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff in a unit without Health Unit Coordinators (HUC), technicians, or additional RNs when techs are unavailable.
- Adhere to unit policies, professional dress code, and safety certifications.
- Work flexibly on 12-hour shifts within the three-shift schedule.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current RN license with experience in geriatric care or inpatient rehabilitation nursing.
- Advanced competency in wound care is a significant plus.
- ACLS certification required; CPI certification is preferred.
- BLS certification mandated.
- Ability to adapt to a schedule generally requiring three 12-hour shifts.
- Professional appearance, with nursing uniform consisting of navy tops and white bottoms.
