This assignment is based on a specialized Med/Surg Telemetry unit featuring 8 inpatient beds and an 8-bed admission unit (occasionally flexing up). You'll work alongside a collaborative team and experience various leadership approachesenriching your practice while making meaningful contributions to patient care.
Schedule/Hours:
- Rotating weekends; additional as-needed availability for travel RNs
- 2 West, Corpus Christi Medical Center
Your Professional Scope:
- Deliver expert care to acute med/surg and telemetry patients, typically caring for 46 patients at a time
- Perform standard nursing procedures: IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance, medication administration, and documentation in the Meditech EMR
- Engage in effective interdisciplinary communication and collaborative care planning
- Contribute to a patient-centered, positive, and team-oriented environment
Desired Qualifications:
- RN, with current license
- 1+ years of acute med/surg experience within the last year (required)
- 2+ years of recent acute med/surg experience (preferred)
- Ideal candidates bring ortho or neuro-surgery or Med/Surg/Telemetry backgrounds
