A Registered Nurse with Telemetry experience is needed for a rewarding contract opportunity in Brookfield, WI. This role offers the chance to provide care in a Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center environment, caring for a variety of medical-surgical patients with diverse needs.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical RN experience
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred
- Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythm strips
- Skilled in managing tracheostomies, chest tubes, and infusion therapies including Lasix, insulin, and heparin drips
- Experience with wound vac management
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to an average patient ratio of up to 6, adapting to staffing needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including CNAs, Techs, HUCs, Rapid Response, and Charge Nurses to optimize patient outcomes
- Utilize telemetry central monitoring with tele tech support
- Float to other medical-surgical units as assigned
- Adhere to facility standards including dress code and safety protocols
Schedule and Contract Details:
- Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend rotation every other weekend; holiday rotation every other major holiday
- One shift orientation provided
- Free parking on-site
- No on-call requirements
- Contract length flexible with potential for return-to-office days approved for up to 7 days if extended
