Job Description

Provide specialized cardiac and telemetry nursing care during night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role requires 1-2 years of nursing experience, including at least 6 months in telemetry, to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care for cardiac and telemetry patients. The nurse will work independently while collaborating with healthcare team members to manage patient needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough assessments, develop and implement nursing care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes according to ANA nursing standards.
  • Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment efficacy.
  • Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families with sensitivity.
  • Document patient history, symptoms, treatments, and responses accurately in medical records.
  • Provide patient, family, and caregiver education tailored to their learning needs.
  • Delegate and assign tasks appropriately to other care providers to optimize clinical care delivery.
  • Meet organizational competencies in leadership and clinical nursing practice.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment or compact license.
  • BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • 1-2 years of nursing experience, with at least 6 months in telemetry nursing.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Ability to attend new nurse orientation and complete competency validations as required.

Work Schedule & Location:

  • Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
  • Full-time contract position based in Boyce, Louisiana.
  • Weekend rotation every other weekend; no on-call responsibilities.
