Grow your expertise in an advanced Med Surg/Telemetry setting, caring for patients with a wide range of diagnosesincluding cardiac, post-surgical, and complex comorbidities. With exposure to multidisciplinary teams, central telemetry, and cutting-edge technology such as EPIC and Philips monitors, you'll enhance both technical and critical thinking skills. This assignment not only enriches your resume but also opens the door to new connections and professional leadership development.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour shifts: 7A-7P or 7P-7A
  • Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
  • Weekend rotation: 5-6 shifts every 6 weeks
  • No call; mandatory rotation for major holidays (one per holiday)

Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum two years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred (must complete EKG competency during onboarding)
  • Proficiency in: Telemetry (rhythm monitoring, post-cath care), Trach care, chest tube management, IV starts/maintenance, glucommander
  • Competence with drips: insulin, heparin, amiodarone, Cardizem, milrinone, Digoxin, nicardipine
  • Strong assessment, time management, patient education, and interdisciplinary coordination skills
  • Certification in Med Surg is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based care to diverse Med/Tele patients
  • Accurately monitor cardiac rhythms, manage complex drips, and educate patients and families
  • Coordinate care and discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team
  • Float to other Med/Tele units as required
