Job Description

Step into an enriching nursing opportunity in a dynamic telemetry unit within a well-established healthcare setting. This role places you among a dedicated team on a 37-bed unit, working closely with experienced professionals who value engagement, independence, and strong critical thinking. You'll handle a diverse patient population and utilize advanced equipment such as PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes, and document care within the Meditech EMR system.

Schedule:

  • 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts
  • Consistent 12-hour scheduling for optimal work-life balance

Position Highlights:

  • Contract position serving adult patients needing telemetry monitoring, post-heart catheterization care, and medication drips
  • Collaborate alongside other RNs, Patient Care Techs, and Unit Clerks to deliver high-quality patient-centered care
  • Maintain patient ratios of 1:6, with specialized 1:4 ratios for heart cath recovery to ensure focused care

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Recent clinical experience in a telemetry or IMU setting strongly desired
  • Proficient in use of telemetry monitoring equipment and managing central lines
  • Positive attitude, professional communication, and the ability to work independently are essential
  • Experience with heart catheter recovery, central lines, and medication drips is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess cardiac patients, respond to changes in patient condition, and provide prompt interventions
  • Administer medications, manage IV drips, and assist with central line procedures
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and contribute to care planning
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record
