Job Description

Step into a dynamic Telemetry nursing environment with state-of-the-art technology and a collaborative, highly experienced healthcare team. This contract nursing opportunity provides exposure to a 37-bed Intermediate Care Unit staffed by engaged professionals dedicated to excellent patient outcomes.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 7AM 7PM
  • Flexible contract duration

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active RN license with experience in Telemetry or similar acute care settings
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
  • Strong clinical critical thinking and independent decision-making skills
  • Positive, engaged attitude with an ability to contribute to a supportive team culture
  • Experience with PCA pumps, IV infusions, and chest tube management preferred
  • Meditech EMR proficiency is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population on a busy telemetry unit
  • Safely manage patient assignments, including a standard 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio and 1:4 for Heart Cath recovery patients
  • Perform and monitor advanced procedures such as central line care, medication drips, and Heart Cath recovery
  • Collaborate with fellow RNs, Patient Care Techs, and unit clerks to provide seamless care
  • Accurately document patient care and communicate with interdisciplinary teams
