Schedule and Hours:
- Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Full-time, travel position
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call shifts
Key Qualifications:
- RN license valid in Louisiana or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certification from AHA required
- Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of related nursing experience preferred
- Ability to attend mandatory orientation and complete all onboarding requirements
- Willingness to work with cardiac and telemetry patients (not a stepdown unit)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Monitor and administer medications/treatments, observing efficacy and side effects
- Document patient care activities thoroughly
- Address complex emotional, social, and cultural needs for patients and families
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans and health management
- Demonstrate strong delegation and clinical decision-making skills
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality care
