Schedule and Hours:

  • Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Full-time, travel position
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call shifts

Key Qualifications:

  • RN license valid in Louisiana or compact state
  • BLS and ACLS certification from AHA required
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of related nursing experience preferred
  • Ability to attend mandatory orientation and complete all onboarding requirements
  • Willingness to work with cardiac and telemetry patients (not a stepdown unit)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Monitor and administer medications/treatments, observing efficacy and side effects
  • Document patient care activities thoroughly
  • Address complex emotional, social, and cultural needs for patients and families
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on care plans and health management
  • Demonstrate strong delegation and clinical decision-making skills
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality care
