Schedule & Hours
- 7PM 7AM, full time
- Night shift
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
Role Overview Deliver top-tier care in a Telemetry unit with a cardiac focus (not stepdown), managing patient ratios of 5:16:1, depending on staffing. The position is ideal for registered nurses seeking to broaden their expertise in telemetry and cardiac care, while collaborating closely with skilled teams and supportive management.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of employment or compact state
- BLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- Minimum one year experience in telemetry or related specialty preferred
- Experience with cardiac patients strongly valued
- All newly hired nurses must complete New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days, and participate in dedicated preceptorship and competency programs
Key Responsibilities
- Independently practice all aspects of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and interventions following facility protocols
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient status
- Address complex emotional, psychological, and cultural patient needs
- Educate patients and families using evidence-based resources and communication
- Provide delegation and support as needed to optimize care delivery
