Job Description

A healthcare opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with Stepdown or Med-Surg Telemetry skills to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. This contract position is based in West Bend, WI, and offers the chance to support units ranging from Progressive Care (PCU) to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry, depending on your expertise and facility needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care in a PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry acute care unit based on current facility needs and skills
  • Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, administering treatments and medications as prescribed
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Float within skill set to other units or nearby sites within a 40-mile radius if requested
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current RN licensure with experience in Stepdown, Med-Surgical Telemetry, or Progressive Care nursing
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in PCU, Med-Surg, Telemetry, or acute care settings
  • Ability to adapt to unit needs, including floating to different departments or locations
  • Strong communication and critical-thinking skills in high-pressure environments
