Key Responsibilities:

- Triage patient needs, perform ongoing assessments, and quickly respond to changes in condition.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, promoting seamless care coordination.
- Administer medication, monitor vital signs, and provide detailed patient documentation.
- Assume charge duties as required, managing unit workflow and supporting fellow staff members.
- Advocate for patients and their families, offering education and emotional support throughout the care process.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state/federal nursing standards.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered RN license in North Carolina or compact state.
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a Stepdown or progressive care unit.
- Proven ability and clinical competence to take on charge nurse responsibilities.
- Certifications in ACLS and BLS required.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to handle high-acuity patient populations.
