Step into an impactful role supporting patients through their recovery in a progressive care setting. Youll be central to a multidisciplinary care team, working closely with patients who need intermediate care following critical illness, surgery, or injury.
Qualifications and Desired Background:
- Current, active RN license
- Minimum of one year recent experience in a stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care environment
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and adapt quickly to changing patient needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ongoing assessment and monitoring of stepdown patients
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members on individualized care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
- Accurately document patient progress and update care records
- Educate patients and families on ongoing care needs, procedures, and recovery pathways
- Respond swiftly and effectively to changes in patient condition
