Schedule:

  • 3 x 12-hour day shifts

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the District of Columbia
  • Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience required
  • At least 2 years of recent Cardiac Telemetry/Stepdown experience essential
  • NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved nursing program (BSN highly desired)
  • Cerner electronic medical record experience required
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the Washington, DC metro area

Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive care in a 48-bed stepdown unit focused on patients with CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery cases
  • Expertly manage cardiac drips, including Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, and Bumex
  • Monitor, assess, and support patients transitioning from critical care to progressive care
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic healthcare setting
  • Uphold best practices in nursing and proactively participate in unit-based continuous education
