Schedule:
- 3 x 12-hour day shifts
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the District of Columbia
- Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience required
- At least 2 years of recent Cardiac Telemetry/Stepdown experience essential
- NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved nursing program (BSN highly desired)
- Cerner electronic medical record experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the Washington, DC metro area
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care in a 48-bed stepdown unit focused on patients with CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery cases
- Expertly manage cardiac drips, including Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, and Bumex
- Monitor, assess, and support patients transitioning from critical care to progressive care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic healthcare setting
- Uphold best practices in nursing and proactively participate in unit-based continuous education
