Schedule:
- 3 x 12-hour day shifts
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the area
Professional Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent nursing care in a 48-bed cardiac-focused stepdown unit, which includes 4 pulmonary care beds and 10 cardiac surgery beds (without cardiac surgery assignment required for travelers)
- Manage patients with frequent IV drips including Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, and Bumex
- Care for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, NSTEMI, Arrhythmias, and post-vascular surgery
- Engage in collaborative, interdisciplinary care while adhering to evidence-based clinical practices
- Utilize Cerner EMR to document and track patient progress efficiently
- Respond confidently to critical changes and emergencies with licensure-compliant interventions
Qualifications:
- Current RN license to practice in DC
- 2 years recent RN experiencecardiac telemetry specialization required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program; BSN highly desired
- NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
