As a Travel RN in a Stepdown unit, youll gain invaluable exposure to a diverse range of clinical scenarios, including the care of patients with STEMI/NSTEMI, CHF, those recovering from cardiothoracic surgery, and cases involving complex cardiac medications and noninvasive ventilation. This position not only broadens your experience with cutting-edge cardiovascular care, but also connects you with different healthcare teams and leadership styles, enhancing your adaptability and strengthening your resume.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Previous experience in a Stepdown, Progressive Care, or similar high-acuity unit
- Strong cardiac assessment and monitoring skills
- Experience with antiarrhythmic IV medications and noninvasive ventilation preferred
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients with acute cardiac and pulmonary conditions
- Monitor, assess, and document changes in patient status
- Administer and titrate IV cardiac medications
- Provide vital post-ICU support for cardiothoracic surgery patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes
