Deliver exceptional patient care as an RN-Stepdown nurse, applying your expertise in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. Youll play a critical role supporting individuals transitioning from intensive care while working alongside a skilled interdisciplinary clinical team.
Desired Background:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with eligibility to practice
- Proven experience in Stepdown or Progressive Care nursing
- Proficient with cardiac monitoring, IV medication administration, and rapid response protocols
- Solid assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
Role Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients recovering from critical illness or surgery, ensuring prompt response to any changes
- Administer medications, manage drips, and frequently assess vital signs to deliver advanced nursing care
- Implement physician orders and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care plans
- Educate patients and their families regarding condition management and care expectations
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress using electronic medical records
- Support infection control and safety practices consistent with healthcare standards
