Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour night shifts (guaranteed 48 hours/week)
  • No blocked schedule requests
  • Every other weekend and holiday required

Key Qualifications:

  • Active KY or compact RN license
  • AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • EKG test completion during compliance process
  • 2+ years of recent nursing experience (Level I or II Trauma essential)
  • EPIC charting experience
  • Strong cardiac/telemetry skills (tele strip interpretation, cardiac drip initiation/titration, care for post-cath, chest pain, and MI patients)
  • Ability to float within cardiac progressive care and telemetry areas, including occasional aide assignments
  • Hardworking, adaptable, and sociable personality

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care for a diverse cardiac and telemetry patient population (1:5 ratio)
  • Monitor, interpret, and respond to complex cardiac rhythms
  • Initiate and titrate cardiac medications as ordered
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Float within designated units as needed to support patient care
