Working 48-hour contracts in a unit of 16-20 beds with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, youll care for individuals facing complex conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, T2DM, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. Qualifications:
- Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years stepdown experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Strong skills in managing acute and chronic medical cases
- Adaptability in busy, dynamic environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care for patients with a broad range of acute conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor, assess, and document patient progress accurately
- Respond effectively to emergencies and changes in patient conditions
- Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery steps
