A reputable healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to support their Stepdown unit on a contract basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make an impact working with complex patient populations needing critical transitional care.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position, full-time hours
- Varied shifts (day and night opportunities available)
Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license in the state of Georgia (or compact license)
- Minimum of one year recent experience in Stepdown, Progressive Care, or Telemetry settings
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment capabilities and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- EMR documentation experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients transitioning from critical to moderate acuity
- Closely monitor vital signs, lab values, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments as outlined in patient care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other clinicians to coordinate quality care
- Educate patients and families on ongoing needs and care expectations
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
