Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Previous experience working in a stepdown or progressive care unit required
• Strong clinical assessment, monitoring, and documentation skills
• Ability to respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems preferred

Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and manage the care of patients recovering from acute or critical conditions
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and interpret cardiac and vital sign monitoring
• Collaborate closely with physicians, ancillary healthcare staff, and families to create and implement patient care plans
• Document all aspects of care accurately and promptly within EMR systems
• Provide patient and family education on recovery, ongoing care, and discharge instructions
• Uphold the highest standards for safety and infection prevention
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to process improvements
