This is an excellent opportunity for a Stepdown RN with at least 18 months of progressive care experience to strengthen their clinical skills in a 32-bed PCU. Youll care for diverse patient populations including cardiac, stroke, respiratory illness, diabetes, and more. With a focus on collaboration, the nursing department features strong teamwork with comprehensive support from CNAs, receptionists, respiratory therapists, phlebotomists, and 24/7 hospitalist coverage. Exposure to EMR (EPIC), Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell dispensing, and Phillips monitors provides valuable experience with widely used healthcare technology.

Schedule/Hours:

• Weekend rotation: every other
• Possible call: Subject to low census (called back up to 3am for nights/3pm for days)
• Holiday expectations: 75% coverage
• Flexible RTO (up to 6 days, excluding holidays)
• Orientation: Full facility and departmental, including two-day unit introduction

Qualifications:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 18 months PCU experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• First-time travelers welcome

Essential Skills:

• Cardiac rhythm interpretation, cardiac drips, trach care
• Chest tubes, blood products, wound care, central line management

Duties:

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse patient base
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Float within regional facilities as needed
• Accurately document and communicate care utilizing EPIC EMR
