Qualifications:

• Active RN license, eligible to practice in KY
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Stepdown unit
• Current BLS/ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willing to adapt to new technology and electronic charting systems

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to stepdown patients with moderate to high acuity needs
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and vital signs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized care plans
• Safely administer medications and complex treatments
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatments and recovery processes
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with facility standards
• Respond rapidly and effectively to changes in patient condition
