Job Description
Provide specialized nursing care in diverse clinical settings including ICU, Step-Down Unit, Med Surg, Day Stay Unit, PACU, and ER. This role requires the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver nursing care while maintaining competencies across multiple units. Effective supervision and delegation of care responsibilities to ancillary personnel in alignment with their scope of practice are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Maintain current competencies and certifications for all assigned units.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff within their scope of practice.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards and policies.
- Document patient care and communicate effectively with patients and families.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in Step-Down Unit nursing; additional experience in ICU, Med Surg, PACU, or ER preferred.
- Ability to maintain competencies across multiple specialized units.
- Strong clinical assessment and organizational skills.
- Ability to supervise and delegate appropriately.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and quality standards.
