Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- Minimum of one year experience in a stepdown or progressive care setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
Responsibilities:
- Closely monitor patients, recognizing and responding promptly to changes in condition
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients transitioning out of critical care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on patient care plans
- Educate patients and their families on recovery processes and ongoing care needs
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
