Key Qualifications:
- Current and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 1 year recent Stepdown or Progressive Care experience
- Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and care of patients on telemetry
- Strong assessment skills and ability to recognize early signs of patient deterioration
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred
Schedule/Hours:
- Shifts and hours may vary depending on assignment needs; flexibility may be required
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Stepdown patients, adhering to physician orders and facility protocols
- Monitor patient status, perform accurate assessment, and provide timely intervention in response to changes in condition
- Administer medications, therapies, and interventions safely and efficiently
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately within the EMR system
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Provide patient and family education to foster understanding and enhance recovery
