Step into an impactful role providing care to patients transitioning from critical care in the Stepdown unit. Your expertise as a Registered Nurse ensures patients receive high-quality monitoring and support during their recovery process. Youll collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and fellow nurses in a dynamic healthcare environment, making a meaningful contribution to patient outcomes every shift.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and unencumbered RN license
- Experience in Stepdown, Progressive Care, or similar intermediate care preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
- Strong assessment, monitoring, and IV medication administration skills
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced unit and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
- Compassionate bedside manner and commitment to patient safety and comfort
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including frequent assessments and response to changes in condition
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage IV lines or drips
- Educate patients and families on post-critical care plans, medications, and recovery milestones
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and allied health professionals to coordinate seamless care
- Accurately document patient status, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records
- Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in rapid response situations as needed
