Key Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in a stepdown or progressive care unit
• Familiarity with cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, and IV drips
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting and collaborate within an interdisciplinary healthcare team

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive, ongoing patient assessments and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Monitor patient conditions, noting changes and responding swiftly to emergent needs
• Administer medications and manage IV lines, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with facility guidelines
• Support patient recovery and educate families about post-stepdown care practices
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes
