Step into a pivotal role as a Registered Nurse in a Stepdown unit, providing essential care for patients transitioning from critical to acute care. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic environment where clinical expertise, collaboration, and patient advocacy are central to daily practice.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Recent experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit required
• Solid understanding of cardiac monitoring, IV drips, and ventilator management
• Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care efficiently
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to communication with patients, families, and team members
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to Stepdown patients, closely monitoring progress and promptly responding to any changes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, manage IV lines, and assist with medical procedures as needed
• Educate patients and their families on recovery processes and ongoing care requirements
• Document patient status, nursing interventions, and outcomes according to facility policy
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment, actively participating in quality and safety initiatives
