Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour night shifts
- 48 guaranteed hours per week (no acceptance of 36-hour weeks)
- 8-week assignment
- Every other weekend and holiday required
- No on-call/call back
- No blocked schedule requests
Desired Qualifications:
- Active KY or Compact RN License
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Level I or II Trauma settings
- Current AHA BLS & ACLS certifications
- NIHSS certification
- EKG test completion during onboarding
- Proficiency in EPIC charting
- Experience with tele strip interpretation (must-have)
- Ability to initiate/titrate cardiac drips
- Comfortable caring for post-cath, CP, and MI patients
- COVID and Hep B vaccinations (no declination for Hep B); weekly testing if COVID declination is approved
- Strong adaptability, resilient work ethic, and positive interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care in Cardiac Progressive Care and Telemetry units
- Float between cardiac progressive care and telemetry as needed
- Provide comprehensive and efficient patient care (standard ratios of 1:5)
- Respond proactively to changing patient needs
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain documentation accurately within EPIC
- Support teammates and assume aide duties when necessary
