A healthcare opportunity is open for an experienced RN skilled in step-down care, located in Perry, GA. This contract role requires managing complex patient conditions in a dynamic, fast-paced medical environment at a teaching hospital with a Level 1 Trauma Designation.

Qualifications and Desired Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a PCU RN
- NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
- CCRN certification preferred, not mandatory
- Proficiency in managing tracheostomies, chest tubes, PIV starts, and titrating drips
- Ability to monitor and manage invasive lines (arterial, central venous) and assist with bedside procedures
- Competence in EKG care with an ability to pass an EKG competency exam
Responsibilities
- Care for step-down ICU patients with diagnoses such as respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, and others
- Manage patient ratios of approximately 1 RN to 3-4 patients, supported by CNAs
- Utilize electronic medical records and specialized monitoring equipment effectively
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, physicians, RTs, and hospitalists
- Participate in a structured orientation and ongoing education to uphold clinical excellence
- Work 12-hour shifts on a 6-week rotation, including weekend and holiday shifts
