Qualifications/Experience:

• Active RN license in the state of Illinois (or compact license)
• Minimum of 1 year recent Stepdown or Progressive Care experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Effective communicator and compassionate caregiver

Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and care for patients transitioning from ICU to the medical-surgical floor
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and document interventions accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on care planning and patient education
• Respond to emergent situations and adapt to rapidly changing patient needs
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during critical recovery periods
