A healthcare facility in Orlando, FL, is seeking a Registered Nurse with Pediatric Stepdown experience for a contract position. This role demands dedication and expertise in delivering specialized care to pediatric patients in a stepdown setting. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hands-on experience in either PICU or Pediatric PCU, with a focus on providing high-quality nursing care. Experience floating between PICU and Pediatric PCU alone will not meet the requirement.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in PICU or Pediatric PCU nursing
- Current BLS and PALS certifications
- Skilled in pediatric stepdown nursing practices
- Ability to float within the children's hospital specifically at PCU and med surg levels
- Compliance with scrub code: Navy Blue
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in a stepdown unit
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to manage patient care plans
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
- Assist with med surg level patients as needed within the float capacity
- Maintain documentation and adhere to all safety protocols
- Work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, ensuring continuity of care
