Job Description

Deliver high-quality nursing care and support in a fast-paced Stepdown environment. As a Registered Nurse specializing in Stepdown, you will work alongside a skilled interdisciplinary team, providing specialized post-acute care to patients transitioning from the ICU or those requiring a higher level of monitoring and intervention than typically found on general medical floors.

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract position; specific schedule to be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and unrestricted RN license.
• Minimum of one year recent Stepdown or progressive care nursing experience.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage patient care in a rapidly changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess vital signs, recognizing early deterioration and responding appropriately.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and assist with complex procedures.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals to coordinate multidisciplinary care plans.
• Educate patients and families about recovery expectations and post-discharge care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Adhere to all facility protocols, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
