Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license valid for the state of Virginia
- Minimum one year of recent experience in a Stepdown or progressive care setting
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced, changing conditions and various electronic health record systems
Schedule/Hours:
- Travel contract with variable shifts depending on facility needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to Stepdown patients
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient conditions
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurses, and interprofessional care teams
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform advanced assessments
- Educate patients and families on medications, post-discharge care, and recovery expectations
