A 13-week contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with Stepdown/PCU expertise in Newport, NC. This role requires a dedicated professional ready to provide high-quality care on a night shift schedule. Ideal candidates have a minimum of 2 years of PCU or Stepdown experience and hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/Stepdown nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR system preferred
- Comfortable with block scheduling (to be discussed during interview)
- Ability to float within the unit scope as needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Stepdown unit
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Administer medications and treatments according to policies
- Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech EMR
- Work the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Work every third weekend; no on-call duties required
Additional Information:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Locals outside a 50-mile radius are not allowed; first-time travelers are not accepted
