Expand your clinical expertise and build your resume with exposure to a blend of cardiac, neuro, and medical-surgical patient populations. Youll work alongside leaders with over 20 years experience and benefit from a unit recognized for outstanding staff retention. Engaging with diverse teams and cross-campus floating will immerse you in varied workplace practices while enhancing your adaptability and critical thinking skills.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 13-week travel assignment
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • 12-hour night shifts (6:30 pm 7:00 am)
  • Three weekends per six-week cycle; every other holiday
  • Bi-weekly orientation

Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered Compact RN license
  • AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years Stepdown RN experience plus 1 completed travel assignment, or 5 years solid Stepdown experience if new to travel
  • Recent EPIC charting experience
  • Proficiency with tele/12-lead EKG, drips (Cardizem, Amio, Cardene, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin), PIV insertions, and chest tubes
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and strong neuro assessment skills
  • Telemetry test passing required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Care for post-procedure cardiac and neuro patients, including STEMI/NSTEMI, carotid endarterectomy, and DKA
  • Float between Newburgh, IN and nearby Henderson, KY campuses within your skillset as needed
  • Support a blended unit (Stepdown and MS/T) with patient ratios of Nights 1:4
  • Participate in teaching and precepting of students or new hires
  • Wear navy blue scrubs
