This opportunity is for a Registered Nurse with stepdown experience, focused on delivering specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general nursing units. This role is essential in monitoring patient conditions closely and providing interventions that support recovery and prevent complications.
Location: Natchez, MS
Responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality nursing care to stepdown patients.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to changes promptly.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to implement care plans.
- Administering medications and treatments according to protocols.
- Educating patients and families about care and recovery processes.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety and infection control standards.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse licensure.
- Experience in a stepdown unit or similar critical care environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred; these can be obtained within the first three weeks after arrival if not already held.
- Permanent address located more than 50 miles from the facility.
This position offers a contract opportunity for those available to commit to a 13-week assignment working day shifts from approximately 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. It is ideal for nurses seeking to contribute their expertise in a dynamic healthcare setting while exploring a new region.
